Working Together

Do you have a passion for helping people?

Join us in supporting people to build more connections in their community and create more belonging and meaning in their lives.

BACI supports over 1,000 children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities and their families by providing various recreational, training and development opportunities. In addition to our four child care centers, we operate fifteen supported living homes and five multi-unit housing complexes in Burnaby – enabling almost 200 adults with disabilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives.

If you have training, experience and a passion for working with people with disabilities, the following positions may be of interest to you:

Residential Adult Service Worker

If you are interested in supporting a person, or group of people, in their home environment, residential supports offer a variety of day, afternoon and overnight shifts.

Community Support Worker for Adults

If you enjoy helping people find opportunities to connect with others in their community — to build friendships, lead a richer, more active life, or find employment — our social and economic inclusion programs offer a wide range of day shifts.

Early Childhood Educators & Out-of-School Care Workers for Children

If you have a passion for working with children, our child care and out-of-school care programs offer a variety of day shifts.

Build A Partnership

Are you a community leader?

BACI is looking for corporate partners — business leaders who believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or shared values are important.

To achieve our goals, we want to partner with corporations who share our ideals. We want to align our businesses for the benefit of everyone involved.

For more information, please contact Tanya Sather or call 604-299-7851.

Our Committees

Committees play a key role in the development of BACI programs and services. Some, such as the Advocacy Committee and BASA, have spearheaded critical initiatives and created change — both locally and provincially — on issues related to community living and the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Community participation is welcomed on the:

  • Accreditation Committee
  • Advocacy Committee
  • Board Governance Review Committee
  • Burnaby Association of Self Advocates (BASA)
  • Committee on Seniors’ Issues
  • Events & Hospitality Committee

Internal Committees (for staff only):

  • Audit Committee
  • Employee Wellness Committee
  • Labour Management Committee
  • Occupational Health & Safety Committee
